somehow I missed the megalith grave release on defiled light, so this has served as my introduction to the band.

perverse homage's description is pretty apt - "piercing guitars and despair ridden vocals" basically covers it.

not digging this as much as the lampir tape (or the unholy vampyric slaughter sect compilation), but that's just me.

it's enjoyable nonetheless and I'm looking forward to more...

a quick google search informed me that lampir is the bosnian word for vampire...so, yeah, fits right in with the perverse homage aesthetic.

part of the newest batch, along with megalith grave and unholy vampyric slaughter sect releases...which I also picked up.

excellent first demo of no-frills, uptempo black metal.

some really great riffs on this one and, as with everything from perverse homage (or defiled light, for that matter), it's highly recommended.

amazing stuff right here.

mournful, caustic, bleak, multifaceted black metal from carved cross via overuse.

this one went fast and I doubt it's available anywhere other than discogs but I can't recommend it highly enough, so do everything you can to track it down.

certainly one of the best of the year, probably my favorite carved cross release.

instead of listing additional platitudes, just listen for yourself.
