great packaging, too, for this short but dense slab of brutality from two artists you should recognize. not much more to say about this one other than it's an excellent release and you all should track it down, along with the other girl tapes releases.

presumably sold out from the label, nor are any copies available on discogs, so keep an eye out.

I'm sure you're all familiar with herukrat, but fresh water girls was brand new to me when I picked this one up from total black after brett's last update.

the fresh water girls side of this split definitely leans toward the more sparse side of the spectrum for the first half of the track before growing progressively more caustic. the opposite side finds herukrat predictably harsh and cathartic in all the best ways, with lots of distorted dialogue samples and twisted, churning electronics.

keep an eye on discogs if you're interested in picking up a copy, as it seems to be sold out everywhere. and if anyone has any other fresh water girls material, I'd love to check it out.
